5 Dinars:

Due to an economic crisis in consequence of the
Sudanese civil war in 1991 the conversion of the
Sudanese currency from pound on dinar was decided.
From 1992 in the North of the country the exchange
of banknotes was gradually started in ratio
10 Pounds = 1 Dinar,
however, in the embattled South the pound
was still retained as a means of payment.

(50 old Pounds (Series 1) = 5 Dinars (Series 2))

With the peace agreement of 2005 the
reintroduction of the Sudanese pound has been set.
Between 10 January 2007 and 1 July 2007
the old banknotes in circulation
could be exchanged in relation of
1000 old Pounds = 100 Dinars = 1 new Pound.
